PINECASTLE STATEMENT
Welcome to the Web site for the Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) to the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Renewal of Authorization to Use Pinecastle Range, Ocala National Forest, Florida
The Navy has created this Web site to provide you with information about the SEIS and the SEIS process. Information will be made available on this Web site as the SEIS process moves forward. This will include relevant materials published in the Federal Register and materials that were presented at the SEIS public meetings. We encourage you to contact us with any questions or concerns. Public involvement is a critical component of the SEIS process and the Navy encourages feedback from the public on this project.
On October 25, 2010, the Navy announced a Record of Decision (ROD) which implements expanded safety zones and additional mitigation measures while continuing training at Pinecastle Range. The ROD is the final step in the SEIS process. A copy of the ROD may be viewed on this Web site by selecting the link below. Additionally, copies of the ROD are available at the Umatilla Public Library located at 412 Hatfield Drive, Umatilla, FL 35784; and at the Marion County Public Library located at 2720 East Silver Springs Boulevard, Ocala, FL 34470.
