Public Involvement Materials

The public involvement process for the SEIS for the Renewal of Authorization to Use Pinecastle Range, Ocala National Forest, Florida will begin with the publication of the Notice of Intent (NOI) in the Federal Register. Coinciding with this, an announcement of the public scoping period will be published in the following local newspapers: Ocala Star-Banner, Orlando Sentinel, Leesburg Daily Commercial, Deland-Deltona Beacon, Gainesville Sun, The Outpost, Villages Daily Sun, Sanford Herald, Orlando Weekly, Palatka Daily News, and the Daytona Beach News-Journal.

Comments can be sent to the person and address identified in the NOI and in the announcements in the local papers, or via the Send Us Your Comments link on this website. Once completed, the Draft SEIS will be published and distributed for public comment. A public hearing will be held following publication of the Draft SEIS and the public will be given an opportunity to comment on its findings. Following the public hearing, the Final SEIS will be published and its availability will be announced in the Federal Register.
